The court does not accept phone calls. No continuances or payment extensions are given outside of court. If you are scheduled for court or have questions about a plea or fine, you must appear in Court.

Court is held on the second Wednesday of every month.
Municipal Court is held at 6:00 PM in New Melle City Hall, 145 Almeling Street. (Located 2 blocks west of the intersection of Highways F & D, south side of Highway D.)
Schedule of Fines
Make cashiers check, money order or personal checks payable to the City of New Melle Municipal Court. Fines may be mailed or dropped-off at City Hall in advance of the court date and no appearance is needed. The $22.50 court cost has been included in all of the following fines.
If you have received a complaint for an ordinance violation in the City of New Melle, you may:
1) Pay your fine on or before your designated court date, or
2) You may drop your payment in the Drop Box at the Municipal Court Office, or
3) Contest this complaint in Court at address, date, and time designated on your ticket.
A drop box is conveniently located near the entrance to City Hall underneath the bulletin board for collecting payments of fines.
If you fail to appear on your court date or pay your fine beforehand, a warrant will be issued for your arrest, and your driver's license may be suspended.
Violations requiring a court appearance:
• 24 miles over the speed limit
• Any violation involving an accident
• Any speeding or passing violation within a construction zone
• Violations not listed on this schedule of fines
